First of all, dear reader, apologies galore for my recent lack of posts. New job= very little time for blogging. Not that I'm complaining! On that note, per devoted reader and friend of the blog Sally Sideways' request, here is a post I've been meaning to do for weeks about the most recent Rose Bowl Flea Market.
As always, there was tons of great stuff- here's what I picked up:
I love this belt buckle. Another vendor had it at the October flea market, but it was a little pricey. This time around I found it again, for about half the price- sold!
I also found this awesome jacket- way too big for me, but too cool to pass up. I've never seen one like it before:
Sigh, Mijo jumped in on this one, let's try again:
So cool, right? The body, collar and cuffs are all knit, the sleeves are woven. Best of all is the wolf motif on the front AND the back:
I'm swimming in it, but that hasn't stopped me from wearing it a couple of times. It's very warm and cozy, the only change I'm going to make is to have the sleeves shortened.
One of my favorite things about this purchase is who I bought it from. People-watching at the flea market is always great, and this group had terrific style. They reluctantly agreed to let me take their picture, I think it turned out great:
The girl on the left is my favorite, I love her look. She was just wearing a simple sweatshirt and overalls, but her red lipstick took it to another level.
I had actually met the guy on the right before. He and his wife had a booth at the Hootenanny. He had a great classic Brando look that day and here as well:
Thanks for letting me take your picture guys, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you at the next flea market!
